Affective Disorders Anonymous (ADA) is
a fellowship of people with affective disorders who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may
gain better insight into their illness and living skills. The only requirement for membership is a desire to explore
the use of the twelve steps, twelve traditions, and principles of the program to better live with an affective disorder. We
have found that the honest and consistent use of the twelve steps, twelve traditions, and principles of this program consistently
results in the serenity and stability we have so desperately sought. ADA has no dues or fees as we support ourselves through
our own contributions. We are not associated with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution. We do not
endorse or oppose any causes. Our sole purpose is to learn to live better with our illness through the practice of the steps,
traditions, and principles of this program and help others with an affective disorder do the same.
